A record $822,073 was raised on the November 21 giving day, known as A Very Special Day, as VSK, its families and supporters celebrated the opening of the newly rebuilt Very Special Kids House.

The state-of-the-art centre in Malvern – the only one of its kind in Australia and the only children’s hospice in Victoria – is designed as a bright home away from home for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses. 

Featuring spaces for music and art therapy, a wheelchair-accessible playground, a hydrotherapy pool, and a very popular resident therapy dog called Jaffa, the new hospice makes a real difference in the lives of sick children and their families when they need support most.
